Become a Lifeguard

If you are an energetic person with a positive attitude and would like to be part of a club that supports the local community and visitors to Waihi Beach we have an opportunity for you.

If you have a heart for volunteering and a desire to develop your own personal strengths, then lifeguarding has a pathway that will provide you with many valuable life skills.

Waihi Beach Lifeguard Services start volunteer weekend patrols from Labour Weekend until Easter Monday. Lifeguards can be part of weekend patrols as much as their time allows but we appreciate a minimum of 30 patrol hours per season to have access to all of the resources.

There is an opportunity for experienced volunteer lifeguards to be employed by SLSNZ as a Regional Lifeguard, a great summer job. The Club also provides call-out squad services to the wider community and qualified lifeguards over the age of 18 can be a member of this well-regarded and highly efficient team.
