Ian Robinson, QSM Queens Birthday Weekend 2020
Huge Congratulations to Ian Robinson on receiving his QSM (Queens Service medal) on Queens Birthday Weekend.
Ian has been an active member of Waihi Beach Lifeguard Services since 1953, during this time Ian has been involved at the coalface as a lifeguard and competitive sport, he has also been instrumental in the development of the IRB strategies for SLSNZ.
Ian is still an active member of the Club and is down at the Clubhouse daily. You will regularly see him attending sports events and actively involved in Club events like the New Year’s Sports Day, 10km Fun Run and Sand making Competition. These events have been in operation for decades, and Ian has continued to show extraordinary commitment to making them a success on the Waihi Beach Lifeguard Service’s calendar.
We are very grateful to you Ian, for all the support, involvement and life you have put into the club, you truly are a treasure.
